All of our firewood is from our farm or locally sourced and sustainably felled, so you can have peace of mind on your carbon footprint.
To ensure a quality, lasting burn it is crucial that the moisture content is right for your firewood. College Farm Firewood are experienced and skilled at ensuring each log has been stored for the correct amount of time (normally between six months and two years) to allow the correct natural movement of air to fully ventilate the logs and drive out excess moisture.
Once the moisture content of each log falls below 20% the process is complete, resulting in a source of firewood that is easier to light and more environmentally friendly to burn.
We store our seasoned logs in our specially designed warehouse for the duration of the seasoning process in order to maintain a low level of moisture content. Ensuring a top quality firewood for our customers.
